This golden milk recipe is vegan friendly and gluten-free. It's free from dairy and refined sugar and is full of warming spices like ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Golden milk gets it colour from ground turmeric. It's a cozy and nourishing warm drink that I love to make at home.
You may wish to strain your golden milk through a fine sieve before serving, but this is optional. This is also a recipe that can be made to your own taste; adjust the spices and sweetener to your liking. I often have golden milk simply with almond milk, turmeric and some sweetener. The turmeric becomes quite subdued mixed with the almond milk, so feel free to also add a touch more, if you wish. Any non-dairy milk will work fine with this recipe.
